简介:
主要从事海气相互作用与海洋动力学的基础和应用研究,近年来发表论文论著70余篇。研究成果被Nature、PNAS、Nature Climate Change、Nature Communications、Reviews of Modern Physics等国际高水平SCI期刊引用,相关研究被Nature News报道评述,并获上海海洋科学技术奖、海洋工程科学技术奖、海洋科学技术奖等5项。
创新性成果主要包括:(1)提出了海盆-跨海盆尺度海气相互作用调制热带气旋强度低频变异的新机制,定量评估了热带气旋对西北太平洋和南海大尺度环流和热输运的影响;(2)首次提出了盐度障碍层能够支持热带气旋强化的观点,阐明了盐度障碍层与极端天气气候事件的相互作用机理;(3)提出了新的海洋数据同化方法,与合作者合作建立了海洋三维温盐流实况分析、再分析和预报业务系统。研究成果为改善热带气旋、气候和海洋环流预测能力提供了新的思路,并已应用于多家业务保障部门,在国防安全和防灾减灾中发挥了重要作用。
